Landing floats for planes of around .40 size.
Length: 83cm
Weight: 300g each.

These are made from fiberglass and enamel painted. They are amazingly crafted and well finished. The photo does not do them justice, as they are very nicely painted and appear flawless even upon close inspection. Kit comes with landing gear struts and braces.

Asking $40 pickup.

I'll take them, Colin.  Going to put them on a Top Flite Freshman.

Is that why we have not seen you flying off Frenchmans?

Simon,

What's a Freshman?  Can't find it in the Googler...

BTW, I was looking at these floats last night at Colin's place.  They ARE very nice.  I almost took them myself but decided I'd wait until I had a specific application and get floats to fit (like for my 1/5 scale Ryan ST)

Shall we plan for some float flying next weekend?  Does anyone have a preference?  Saturday October 13?  Or Sunday the 14th?  Frenchman's Bay or the new place?

This is all I can find on the Freshman - I think it was a trainer.

I am in for float flying next weekend - the Sunday would be best for me, but I think I can do either.

Simon,

What state is it in?  Is it a used plane that you bought? A kit?  Is it glow powered?  Is this another Cadez find?  What's the story behind this plane?  It's a rare one!

Crap, missed them. Those floats would be perfect for my supercub.
Where did you find them Colin?
