I like racing...  Sign me up for a ARF version.

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Papa

Will do Mike.

Eric, all are welcome that's the beauty of the team concept.
What I'll do is when it comes time to cut for teams members like you
who cannot attend all the time will be seeded evenly among the teams.

Jack.
A motto to live by:
"What other people think of me is none of my business"

Michael

OK, I'm in too!

Put me down for an ARC.

Hi Jack,
Whatever the group decide (ARF or ARC) to buy... it's fine for me...

Fabiano

Bobmic

I will join to and will prefer the ARF or better the RF! As don't think I will have much time to build.
Are the ARC guys planning any mods.... - should I re-think my preference.

What about Motor, Battery and servos what type... spec options etc. are these part of a separate group purchase.

Anyhow I am in even though I have no clue what I am getting into.

Bobby,

I requested an ARC simply for the opportunity to apply my own colour scheme, but also to consider reinforcing the center section as Frank suggests (although I doubt it'll be necessary with the racing rule power system).

So, um.....  any mention of power system rules?  Did I miss somethink?  Jack????

I asked Jack the same question about Power Systems yesterday, and he kindly and compassionately informed me to read the rules in the first section of this post!  Oops!

Essentially, 3S and an 18A Castle esc.  Any motor, any prop.  I think that's right.

Michael

I think you can use any motor but an 18-amp CC speed control is required.

Yes the spec speed controller is the only power system rule. Should leave room to tinker but still keep it relatively equal.
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

piker

I swear those rules wern't there when I looked before  ;)

Although they're called "Picker", as in "Nose Picker"

Cool.

I am trying to finalise the group buy, from Icare.  They are also able to offer the ESC (Castle Creations 18A Thunderbird) for $33.

Who would like an ESC - please respond below.

Hey Ben!  You know we're talkin' about a plane here, eh?

I remember when Scott Black was designing the plane and he told me what the name was going to be.  He was concerned that it may be to risqué, but that was his point   :-[

Hey Ben, would you like an ARF or ARC?

And would you like a speed controller?
