It's water resistant. It will stand a dunking without a problem but not sustained immersion. I have used it exclusively on my Northstar and I'm not concerned.

Thanks Jack. You might of mentioned it, but is the Express glue water soluble? I want to leave my float plane options open.

Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?
