A horrible day at the field!!

".... but I'm not left-handed either."*

Oh, sorry, a bad day at the field is still better than a good day at work. ;D

I hope you two are not having fun at "Fearless Founder's" most recent misfortune.

No even you two could not be so heartless.

Well Maybe....a little???

Absolutely not.  We have our standards you know, and observe the highest moral code of ethics and compassion.

Having said that, and seeing that the merits of discretion are often greatly exaggerated, I am compelled to offer further insight on Frank's posting, beyond the obvious duress he endured at showing up at the field to find me there. 8)

re: "A horrible day at the field!!"
Lemme splain .. as the kid said.

The horribleness of the day at the field had nothing to do with seeing Andy there.  My yellow Cadez thingy plane (Champ?) with a 25 on it did the old wingtip clapping routine at less than 3/4 throttle at about 75 foot altitude.  This plane was built by a guy who loved building in the '70's (silk and dope) but never flew.  The wings folded because there was no plywood doubler on the spar past the fuselage width of the centre section.  It was all un-reinforced balsa beyond that.  No wonder the wings folded.  Hope to have it going again by the Bramal-E-Fly next weekend.

Just in case you wondered, I shut down the motor and tried "up" elevator for the hell of it.  Nothing.  A bit like falling out of an airplane without a parachute and flapping your arms.  Feels better but will get you nowhere. ;D

Andy I can handle.  Poor construction I cannot.*

Simon - from the angle of the photo, it looks like it cover the nose too.    :P

Oscar,

re: "it looks like it cover the nose too."

Simon is getting two hobbies mixed up... flying and scuba diving.
He will be OK once he sorts his life out. :D
