Hi Again,

First off, thanks for sending your proxies.  I attended the MAAC Zone L meeting today, and had 30 votes on your behalf.  There were a total of 90 votes in the room, so your voice accounted for a third of the quorum.  I am pleased to say that Jim Daly remains our Zone Director and our very own Michael Rogozinsky was acclaimed the Deputy Zone Director for another 2 years.  He promises to be on Facebook more!  ;D

We had a great time last week when 20 members came out for our first pilots' meeting.  we spent 90 minutes socialising, eating and having good times & laughs in the bar, before heading downstairs for another 90 minutes of aeroplane chat and banter. New for this year - members started eating salads!  I explained Greg's plan for our Winter events this year - Pilots' meetings will be the second Wednesday of the month, and then we will have a build class 2 weeks later.  This year we will run 2 classes in parallel; a repair/build what you want clinic for fixed wing, and also new for this year, a quadcopter build class.  Big thanks to Frank, Michael, Robert, Stephan and Eric for volunteering their time.

If you are interested in the quad build class, please check this forum thread:

Please don't forget the fall clean up this Saturday, 29th October from 9am.  Free coffee and donuts - please bring spades and forks.

Cheers,
Simon

Heck no!   I'm not coming to the Pilot's Meetings if I have to eat SALAD!!!!  I can do THAT at home!

I'm out!
