Possible plane found @ cornfield
« on: August 07, 2017, 10:05:04 pm »
Hello members,

While I was editing my flying video last night, I noticed there is an object, possible a plane at the cornfield.  It's on the South side.  I decided to go back this morning and fly to that location again.  Do you think it's a plane?

Here is the video.

Fallen UFO? Or Craig's T28?
Do it while you can.

Hi Oscar: Great video! Could be Craig's T28. I snapped and attached two screenshots to help locate the plane.
1) Flag person and spotter go to south end of field where corn starts.
2) Flag person goes eastward parallel to corn row at south end of field and is guided by the spotter using cellphone communication.
3) About half way out to the "object", the corn rows switch direction and begin to run eastward so you should have a clearer line of site to the object. At this point shift four rows northward and continue east.
4) Flag person should have a good view of the plane ahead since you are parallel to the rows and not crossing them.
Hope this helps. Regards, Richard B.

Hi Oscar: Craig (the flagman) found the plane this morning but it's not his T28. We used your video info. Plane is a Flyzone Cessna Corvallis (see attached photo). It was hung up halfway up the corn from the ground. This might belong to Tom or one of your other regular pilot friends. Craig took the plane home. Contact him after the weekend to make arrangements for pickup (for a small and reasonable "corn walkers" fee, ha, ha). Regards, Richard B.

Great job, Oscar!  I reviewed my video of the north end of the corn field and have not been able to spot anything yet.

Great Job Oscar,I could hardly spot it when you pointed it out. I know who the plane belongs to,  but I am afraid I do not know his name. He is a Chinese fellow, very nice guy and he flies something like the plane you found. He was there yesterday about 5 just as I was leaving. He told me he had lost it but had not been able to find it.
What could possibly go wrong?

No Richard - I was referring to the person and the car they drive!

I read about the plane.

It went to field this afternoon and didn't realized the plane was found already.  (Thank you again Craig and the AM crew!)  I went into the cornfield and tried to find it too.

I am glad it turn out to be a plane and able to rescue it.  :D

Craig - Do you know where about your T-28 was down?  Is it around Felix's plane location?
