Frank v B

In May this year I went to Holland and had the privilege of meeting Ton van Munsteren, the designer of the RedEagle power glider.  It was the subject of our Build class 3 years ago.  Eight of us built one.

Ton was kind enough to let me fly two of his airplanes (RedEagle and Chica) and get some stick time in the Dutch sky.  In reply to my "Thank You" note, he asked me to say "HI" to Piker.  Mission completed last Wednesday when Piker showed up at training night.

Ton's Chica design will be one of the build class subjects when classes begin in the fall.

In my note to Ton, I wrote:"
He's (Rob is) the good looking guy on the left.  The guy on the right is the one you should never again hand a transmitter to when he is in Holland.  :-)

Regards from Toronto.  Stay in touch.

...... and I have no idea how to correct the orientation of the photo.  It starts to straighten out after two beers. :D
