I have been asked enough questions about when and how grain corn is harvested.  Many of you don't believe how it is done when I have explained it.

A video is worth a thousand words.  Enjoy!  ;D

What an informative video!! Sadly though some of my most burning questions remain. Namely:

1. Do LiPo's make the corn better?
2. I've heard that corn plants eat balsa and/ or foam? Is this true?
3. What's the longest a RC pilot has survived in a corn field without rescue? Legend has it there are still some guys from the 72Mhz days out there wandering in the corn.
4. I hear that rather than irrigating the corn fields, farmers now mostly count on the tears of RC pilots to water their crops? Fact or fiction?

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

'YES' to the first 3 of your further inquiries.
'FACT' to your 4th inquiry, however many of our members contribute more than their fair share tears.

Mike,

re: 1. Do LiPo's make the corn better?

Lipos make popcorn!

Bruce,  better a corn farm than a pig farm. :D

Interesting video.
Too bad John Deere doesn't make crop duster planes because then the RC toy would be worth every penny.
Love the Hangar 9 Agwagon.

Oh great!  It shows the stalk dust being ejected back onto the field to feed the soil for "..NEXT YEAR'S crop.."
Poop! - Possibly more corn next year guys if our farmer doesn't practice crop rotation!!
