If you are planning to upgrade or purchase a new Spektrum DX6 (or even second hand DX6), please note there are 2 models outthere.

Both look identical - except the model # is different.  SPMR6700 and SPMR6750.

The difference is in the antenna.  SPMR6750 is using DX9 Dual Diversity antenna.  SPMR6700 is only single antenna.

Spektrum already listed SPMR6700 as discontinue product but prior to make the purchase, do check at the back or inside the battery bay, it will show the actual model #.

Well, at least it's better than DXe which has 4 models in the market.  They all called SPM1000.  >:(

SPM6755, unless I'm looking at the wrong number lol  :o

SPM6755 looks the same at 6750 but comes with the RX.

DX6 G2 is SPMR6700, SMP6700 or SPM6760
DX6 G3 is SPMR6750 or SPM6755

G2 - Single Antenna
G3 - Dual Diversity Antenna

There's no upgrade, the hardware is different.

The G3 only exists due to EU regulations. There was an issue supporting 11ms DSMX on the EU-compatible G2's that were not DSM2 capable, so Spektrum brought out the G3 using the DX9's RF module which is 11ms DSMX capable in EU form. (The DX7G2 was replaced by the DX8G2 at the same time, and with the same hardware change, although the DX8G2 got more software capabilities when updated).

The diversity antenna is a nice upgrade, but not a must-have. All other capabilities are identical between the G2 and G3.

The DX6G2 has been off the market for 2 years now.
