Recently, I spent about 15hrs removing unwanted decals from a new model, before I did a repaint.  >:( I know some modellers just paint over old decals, but I prefer to remove them.  :)

The last decals I took off, I did so with Gorilla tape. Put the tape over the decal and pull. It works, but it sometimes damages the foam.  I've just seen another video of someone using ice cubes to remove decals from an FMS pitts.

Later this build season, I want to remove the decals from a new Freewing EDF.

What methods have others used to remove decals (without damaging the foam below)?

You can try spraying with an upside down compressed air can (does the same thing as the ice cube but faster), you may also want to soak it with a bit of rubbing alcohol as long as it doesn't damage the foam. These are standard things to remove hot glue but should work with stickers.
