GOOD NEWS re - Canadian Air & Space Museum

Hey guys,

GOOD NEWS re - Canadian Air & Space Museum (clumsily renamed 'Canadian Air & Space Conservancy).
The dismantled museum artifacts, have found a new home at Edenvale aerodrome, NW of Barrie, just before Collingwood.  Not very close but better than none at all!  Read the 'Blog' menu for this news.

Additionally, there are wonderfully interesting Avro & DH Canada photo albums, full of period images of the CF-100, Iroquois engine, Avro Jetliner,  DH Tiger Moths thru Mosquito production and DHC designed aircraft such as the fully aerobatic DHC-1 Chipmunk etc etc.

Check it out...

Enjoy...

Hi Roger:

That’s great news! Edenvale Airport is not that far away. I travelled there for the past two years for the “Gathering of Classics” the weekend  just after the Civic holiday in August. You can even get there travelling off the 400 since the 400 is usually plugged with summer vacationers. Airport is on highway 26 East of Stayner or SE of Wasaga Beach. Very enjoyable ride out there.

Airport is out in the country and occupies lots of land. Very open sky area.

Now I have another reason to travel out there! Thanks for your update.

Regards,
Richard B.
