2006 memberships due now

Notice to all TEMAC members.

2006 membership dues are due. Because I only just recently confirmed that we have a lease on the field for the coming year, I will accept memberships dues of $80 (this includes EMFSO membership) until the end of January 2006 without the $30 late fee.

Starting Feb. 1, 2006, membership will be $110 including the late fee.

First-time membership cost is $110, which includes a $30 initiation fee.

I will accept dues at the Dec. '05 and Jan. '06 EMFSO winter workshops.

Plans for 2006 include:
- new weather fence
- Steam Roller to flatten the field
- Wednesday night flying for all members in July and Aug.
- Fun Fly on (one day) Labour Day Weekend

Unfortunately, I am working long hours that weekend. Perhaps leave an envelope with someone coming to the Workshop.

And by the way, Robert's idea is a good one. If weather is bad on a Wednesday evening for summer TEMAC flying, we fly instead on Thursday evening.

This idea came about over the last two years when several flyers started coming out to fly on nice Wednesday summer evenings. Generally, the wind was very light, the air was warm and the sun was behind us, and we all had a lot of fun flying. Now we're making these evenings an "official" flying time, for beginners and experts alike.
