Title: RogMason TEMAC #258
Post by: RogMason on September 14, 2015, 04:18:09 PM
Hi everyone,

Of general interest:
In 2012, I attended the Wingham Jet Meet in Wingham, Ontario. I was there in support of a friend and didn't really know what I was in for.
As soon as the flying started, I rushed to my car to get my 'still' camera and switched it to the video function and took as much footage as I could of the amazing flying that day.

This was my introduction to RC flying.  I had no idea it could be so exciting. It was the catalyst that prompted me to eventually join the TEMAC club and learn to fly RC models.
Having learned to fly an Apprentice this summer, I now have a new appreciation for the skill of the pilots in this film.

As a side note, the event was held on a 5,000 foot concrete runway at a company that built the runway for its customer's private jet visits.  So plenty of room to land :-)

I don't know if it is possible to post a movie of this size (207 MB) in the TEMAC Forum, so here's the link to a low res version of the film in DropBox:    https://www.dropbox.com/s/wffbzw0615fpjhm/Wingham%20Jet%20Event%202012%20480p.mov?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wffbzw0615fpjhm/Wingham%20Jet%20Event%202012%20480p.mov?dl=0)

Cheers,
RogMason
