Title: Morning Crew Featured In MAAC Mag
Post by: bweaver on April 05, 2018, 08:41:24 AM
For those who haven't read it yet, Micheal wrote an article about the morning crew.  It is featured in the latest edition of the MAAC magazine.  Thanks Michael.

Each year the crew grows with new retirees joining on a regular basis and other club members who periodically attend weekday mornings before work, after work,  while on vacation, playing hooky from work, out of school, skipping school, etc.  All TEMAC members are welcome to join us full time or part time regardless of circumstances, state of employment, unemployment, or even if they happen to be the President of the club.

For the record, as I recall, the name 'Morning Crew' was first phrased by Jack Higgins when making reference to the group at Pilot Meetings.  The term stuck.

The crew is eagerly looking forward to the arrival of nicer weather, the field drying up and getting back into the game of having fun and flying.

If you are retired and wish to join us flying, just show up when it is warmer on a nice bright sunny WEEKDAY morning after 09:30 and you will surely run into a few of us at the field. Regular flying will likely start sometime in May.

I understand in the near future there will be a 'Morning Crew' section devoted in the forum that can be used for updating everyone about the crew's activities.

HI Bruce @bweaver
I got the MAAC mag. yesterday and I was overwhelmed with pride as I  read the MAAC yesterday
as a newbie to the morning crew and dyeing to fly with the "Crew".
I thought that Michael did an awesome job in presenting the "Morning Crew" and how TEMAC does not exclude anyone who wants to fly and have fun.
I also though maybe Michael was putting in a application for the "Morning Crew" ::)
cause he did such a good job  ;D

@Andy Hoffer - I meant to say "The crew is eagerly looking forward to the arrival of nicer weather, the field drying up and getting back into the game of having fun and flying, together again."

I hope this clears up your confusion.  Glad to see you found your way home, somewhat.

Bruce,

Normal people knew exactly what you said and meant.  Mr. "Thesaurus" Hoffer has to stay busy somehow so he picks on you and me.
He probably went to New York to fully understand Trumpism so he can adapt it to his situation in Canada.  We may have to build a wall around the field to keep Mr. Hoffer out if he goes too far.  Watch for a parachute coming out of a full size Cessna ;D
