Hi all,
I'd like everyone to post info on the online shops and local stores you frequent. I'll take every store posted and will add it to this original post to keep as a resource. Eventually we can make it sticky. I'll start by adding a few.

Please post more and I'll add them to this list.

As my local shop I go to "The ZOOM ROOM"

http://www.thezoomroom.ca/ (http://www.thezoomroom.ca/)

Dan is very helpful and will do his best to find and order you what you want if they don't stock it.  They carry several lines of the bind and fly's and there pricing has always been spot on.

Frequently I call Pinnacle as Ron and Dave are very knowledgeable.

A & J..  I do stop in there when in the area but I don't know them,  Ive seen some bad press... and there prices can swing wildly.

Honestly im cheap and do a lot of purchases through RC-Groups.  Good trader rating system and never a bad deal so far.

For Nooner stuff, and fast gliders/hotliners/pylon racers you can use Icare:
http://icare-rc.com/ (http://icare-rc.com/)

Or, in the US, for similar stuff, try Esprit Model. Very fast shipping, and good choice of servos (for pylon racers etc):
http://www.espritmodel.com/ (http://www.espritmodel.com/)

For cheap FlyFly EDF kits I found this site, but not used them:
http://www.hobby88.com/shop/index.php?manufacturers_id=13 (http://www.hobby88.com/shop/index.php?manufacturers_id=13)

For RC Lander models and parts try this US site, I have used them before:
http://parkrcmodels.com/ (http://parkrcmodels.com/)

For spares and parts (like Colin's 6mm hardened steel pins) try ebay, I've has success from there for soldering items, pins, RF leads etc.....

Hey Jack is this the place that you said carries the sermos/Anderson Power Pole connectors?  I'm in the market for some.

Excellent source for Anderson Power Poles (Sermos connectors) - complete selection of connector shells and contacts - very reasonable pricing (I last paid $0.40 per shell/contact set; $0.17 per contact); they also carry crimping tools.

Us morning guys have been using Motionrc.com in the States lately. Good prices especially on batteries receiving the orders in less than a week, and great service.

@Canuke is there fees charged when you receive the package? Or is the only payment you make when you buy the product on the site?

I've had 2 orders, 1 with mostly batteries and other small items and it came through with no extra charges. I then ordered and received a larger plane (Pitts Python) and it had about $20 in extra charges (a much larger box of course). My other fliers have had their orders (again mostly batteries) and they had no extra charges.

I followed Jim suggestion and placed the order in MotionRC for the Lipo batteries.  I ordered 4 x Admiral 4S 2200 35C.  As per Jim suggestion, take the lowest USPS option (USPS first class).  Also when picking the description, choose Gift.
Placed my order on the morning on Aug 26th, by the afternoon, I received the confirmation with the USPS tracking number from them.
Sep 2nd AM, I received the package with no extra fee / payment.  I am sure if it's not labour weekend, I probably have them on Sep 1st already.
Great service and speed.   ;D

I've been ordering 3s 2200 from Action hobbies in Kingsville Ont ("Just Lipo" brand) and they seem to work great.  They cost $19.99 CAD and they have a flat rate shipping fee of $5 for order of $75 (its like $8 if you don't have a big order).  On my last order I received shipment in 2 days.   I've got 6 of them now and no issues at all.  Here is the URL if anyone is interested:

Hi Oscar,

I'm new in this hobby and looking to buy some good batteries for an affordable price.

I checked out the admiral batteries and seems they have pretty good reviews.
Wondering if you could share any experience using the Admiral 4S 2200 35C.

I found them quite reliable.  You won't disappointed.
Title: f-hobby.com another online store, good prices
Post by: deltawing on March 25, 2018, 07:12:27 PM
In searching for my next A-10, on RCCanada I came across this less known online hobby shop   f-hobby.com (http://f-hobby.com) in ShenZhen, China.

After long browsing, comparing couple jets that i'm very interested,  I found that their pricing are perhaps the best, even with EMS shipping (suppose to the door or postal outlet).

The website is not the best, they carry EMS, FreeWing, Dynam, LX, FlyFly and much more. You can find turbine and gas engine too if you decide to venture into those!

If you have something in mind for 2018, check out their site  www.f-hobby.com (http://www.f-hobby.com)

They take PayPal and Western Unit which I never used.  Personally I preferred PayPal than credit card because of getting more buyer protection through PayPal if there is any dispute.  I will update you how it turn out on my first order soon. ;D
Title: Freewing Hawk T1 PNP for US$172
Post by: deltawing on March 25, 2018, 09:37:35 PM
Check this one out if you are looking for a new jet.

For US$172 plus $59 shipping, I believe it is still better than any online shop.

Let me know if you find this one lower before I order for this season.

Thanks.

Title: The world's largest database of model airfields just got better!

The world's largest database of model airfields and slopes with integrated real-time weather and forecasting just got better!

Now also with runway layouts and dynamic cross-wind identification!

Your local flying club most likely also features in the aeromura app, similar to what you see in the attached screenshots.

With around 10 000 model aircraft pilots around the globe now actively using the app, we thought you might like to share this message with the membership of your group for their benefit.

Android pilots download it for FREE on the Google Playstore here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brainworx.aeromura

Apple iPhone pilots download it for FREE on the Apple App Store here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1526771501
