Title: New EDF
Post by: Bigstik on November 03, 2017, 01:26:24 PM
Got the Yak 130 for my birthday. Looks real nice. FMS does good work!. Manual recommends 6 cell, 2400 - 3300 mah, 35C lipo. What are the TEMAC Yak flyers using, and where is a good place to get it?

Al - sarcastic comments are not likely to encourage people to help!

I flew mine with a 2700.

Why deviate from what the manual says?

Welcome to the EDF training club !!!

I've flown with a Turnigy Nano-tech 3300mAh 6S 25~50C Lipo Pack w/XT-60 and a set of 3700mAh (2x3S) 40C Admiral

Both options fly nice on the Freewing variant.

I flew with the following batteries

6S2600 45C from https://www.roaringtopusa.com/45c-2600-mah-6s-is-45c-2600-6s.
6S3300 60C from http://shamihobbies.com/gens-ace-3300mah-22-2v-60c-6s1p-lipo-battery-pack-with-ec5-plug/
6S3300 70C from http://shamihobbies.com/revolectrix-3300mah-6s-lipo-70c-silver-label-gopacks-grapheneoxide-edition/

For windy days, I like the Revolectrix.  Otherwise, the RoaringTop is better.

It was disappointment, not sarcasm. At least I got a response and that's all I wanted.
