I'm in. Where can we meet? Who else? I can drive if you want, although if Cadez does his normal swap meet thing 2 of you will have to ride home on the roof so his planes can get inside!

anyone game to join me on a trip to Kitchener this Saturday??

I hope the usual suspects weigh in.  Rob D., Glenn N., Cadez.

We usually get there in time for the opening (10 am) and then have an early lunch before we head home.

Thanks Frank
I lost my FlyZone Sensei to my radio wanting to do this crazy 😜 starboard turn when I was in left hand circuit.
It happened 4 times to me. Thinking it was my inexperience.
So Cub day was coming up last year. I wanted a bigger Cub than what I had..... and some fun with it.
Almost had it done. Missed it. But with our CFI's help got it flying. Bruce had it all trimmed out for me.
We had it on a couple of flights and my cowling flew off....
As Frank says put it in the corner. I did and PooF an old cowling showed up.... for a discounted price.
Now you can see.... 👀
come on spring...

Everything is done.

Radio works, wigglers work, motor (auger) works.

Final score: Total weight 33.2 oz.* with a 3 cell 1500mah battery.
The original weight with the Speed 600 and 7 cell (8.4 volts) 1.6 amp nicads: 45.8 oz.  This is 12.6 oz or 38% heavier than the BL/lipo version.  Wow.

Frank

* the 33.2 oz total weight breaks down as follows-  Fuse: 22.6 oz, wing 10.6 oz

Finished fiberglassing the fuse, nacelles and rudder. Wing is ready for final top sheeting as soon as the nacelles are secured to it and the motor wires run through the wing. Then glass the wing and then starts the sanding and filling and sanding and filling and sanding and filling.

Thanks Bruce.

That OS motor would be just about right for Franks build, as it's good for about 500W ;-)

Just installed the tail feathers, aligned everything, connected the servos to the tail feathers with piano wire.

Next steps ESC, RX and a test fire..... then done!
