Title: Ryerson's plane- weight!
Post by: Frank v B on November 25, 2016, 06:32:58 PM
This plane has been tough to fly in some conditions that TEMAC and its local weather pattern has thrown at it this year.  I have mostly flown at full throttle and all the other nonsense and excuses you have heard me write about after each flight and each close call.

Alton just reported that the plane weighs 17 pounds!!!  I am now amazed it has flown at all.  The original design was for the heavy lifting competition two years ago.  Now the heavy lifting is all the electronics on board.  And here I thought all along it was 9-10 pounds..... but then ... I weigh a mere 150 pounds.  ;D  In my dreams.

Those must be "Imperial" measurements Frank. We were discussing them at build class this week! Ask @thehaze
