Title: Lost plane AeroScout
Post by: Flying A on May 22, 2020, 06:39:56 PM
Hi all,
Hobbyzone Aeroscout, white, orange decals, big tricycle landing gear, large wheels, black squares on wing underside, black canopy, pusher prop.
Flew into the sun late this morning, Friday May 22nd, lost sight of plane, altitude about 200 ft, searched everwhere, fields trees, sawmill. Reward for recovery. Put plane into bank, killed throttle. It glides beautifully, so ...light southeastery breeze at time. Was starting to do left circuit after takeoff when I lost sight in the dazzling sun overhead. New Member, new plane, aarrgh!

You'll need to change the subject to "Found plane AeroScout"  :)

The farmer was in spraying today.  Did one round and left.  As I was leaving at 4:15pm he came back, drove to the south part of the field beside the runway and got out with the AeroScout in his hand.  He found it in his south field.

Not a spec of damage.  Next plane I lose... will you lose it for me?

Battery is now unplugged from the plane.

I'll keep it in my car until I see you.  I'll be at the field tomorrow afternoon... some time around 1.

Cheers.

Fantastic news! I'd given up hope of finding the Aeroscout. It seemed to have just vanished..
I'll be at the field about 1:00 pm Tuesday. I'm thrilled.
