Title: What's happening with the Aug. 5 float fly?
Post by: Richard_RC_Guy on August 03, 2017, 07:42:54 pm
I was wondering if the Sat. Aug. 5 float fly at Claireville Reservoir (Indian Line Campground) is still on or off? Rob D. mentioned to me on Tue. Aug. 1 that there might be an issue with scheduling the float fly at Clairville this Sat.. Also, Michael is away and I have not seen any notices if the float fly has been sanctioned by MAAC or not. Anybody know what is happening? Regards, Richard B.

The float flys are on a temporary pause.

I have been notified that there is a conflict with another club at that site.

I'm working on it.

Thanks Michael. Hope things will eventually get sorted out so we can "float fly" again. As for this Sat., there are high winds in the weather forecast so probably no flying anyway.

Yes.  I'm very sorry that I haven't notified you guys.  As Michael say, we have a bit of a conflict that I hope we can resolve.  But until we work something out, we need to hold off on our use of the Claireville site.

Also, I tried to arrange a flying day at the Tavares site, but this weekend is their big, annual, community event on their property, so that's out.

I'll try to provide better update for you guys from now on.

We NEED to get float flying again!!!!
