I grabbed one of the new eflite extra 300 for the event. Looking forward to trying it out.

Anyone flying a 3D/pattern model with AS3X should be required to wear one of these, just so we know they are "cheating"  :P

(I do have the Gee Bee with AS3X - it does fly very nice  :-[)

Wrong thread Michael, but perhaps you are demonstrating a bit of precognition?  ;)

"E-flite AS3X Extra now at Pinnacle"

Oooh, it was so tempting to jump on this.
I dropped by Pinnacle this afternoon and there was Bert picking up the last one of 14!
(I think there will be many green coloured flying machines at the Dome fly-in.)

I have picked up a new Xmas present (DX6i) and am now exercising hobby expense control.
(It was quite funny at Pinnacle today-- there was another gentleman in there saying "I don't know what I want, I just want something...")
So once I figure out how to work the transmitter with something to fly, I will be signing up for the 29th/Dec Dome fly.
Hoping Santa brings a new indoor flyer for the new radio.  I think he just might.  ;D

Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Wow!
Pretty cool indoor flyer in that video Ed! thanks for posting the link. Reminded me a bit of Michael's 6' indoor foamy Cub! At first I had trouble figuring out the thrust system...it's not the usual! Talk about slow and steady!
I think it would fit in Michael's dome slow flyer category...it's certainly not 3D or a fast flyer!
DOWN WITH GRAVITY! UP WITH LEVITY!
