Personal best: Mini Funtana on 3S2200; wind NW gusting to 64 kmh!  YES!!  Required almost full throttle to claw my way back to the field after my first downwind.  Serious cross-wind landings!  :D

Found the windsock 30 m southeast of the flag pole.  Reconstituted it with some fishing line from the lost and found.

Found the loo taking in some fresh air, flapping its door in an effort to join the geese overhead.

Beautiful huge cumulus clouds created by the cold front which moved in today.

Field is clear of snow.

Andy,

Amazing and challenging.  As I tell students all the time when the wind starts blowing and people shy away from flying... pick a very windy day and go fly.  You will get so good so fast.  Also, when the wind finally gets below 25 knots, your attitude will be "what wind?"

Reminds me of the Ron White comedy routine from years ago:

Great routine @Frank v B !  Good news is that the trees are not in leaf, hence less wind drag and fewer airborne branches from behind!!  8)
