Title: Ryerson Quad transition flight test- Wednesday, Aug 5, 2020- 3 pm
Post by: Frank v B on July 31, 2020, 04:54:46 PM
Alex called today and we have set up the next flight session for this coming Wednesday at 3 pm.
I will be there to help them and then will stay to have informal training for anyone who wishes some testing/training/maidening.... or if you are Andy, hurling insults at me to make me feel better.

Well, well, well ....

What have we here?  Fresh juicy delicious bait.....!  YUMMM!  8)

In gratitude for @Frank v B 's largesse, I negotiated with the folks at NavCanada for some really strong winds this afternoon (Aug 5) (see TAF below) to help give Frank a sense of self worth and allow him to demonstrate his famous cross-wind landing techniques (evidenced in the photo below - more examples are available on request).

Unfortuately, NavCanada, in their enthusiasm over my efforts to get Frank to appreciate TAFs and METARs, may have overdone it a bit.  It turns out that west 10 gusting 20 knots (18 gusting 36 kmh for Frank) is not ideal for the intended testing/training/maidening purposes of the Ryerson team.  So, Ryerson has moved their next flight session to Thursday, Aug 6 at 3:00 p.m.

@Frank v B will likely be there, but not for certain.  So, given the opportunity to tell a whole new audience about Frank's lesser known endearing qualities, I have volunteered to be there in his stead.  It should only take me a couple of hours to complete my Van Beurden dissertation.  This will leave a good 5 or 10 minutes that the Ryerson team needs to complete their testing.  i will stick around after their flights in case they have any followup questions about Frank.  I want them to have a full and accurate character picture of Frank when they leave.   8)
