While I'm waiting for balsa wood to be delivered to start my Avro York, I've started another project for which it seems I have everything I need on hand.

Inspired by the warwings, and Simon's scratch-built space shuttle, this delta-wing pusher will be built almost entirely out of 3/16" balsa sheet.

I'm sure most of you guys can accurately guess the jet I am modelling, based on the image of the wing.

The Shark Teeth on the leading edge of the wing gives it away.

ps: these two points are the balance point (CG)..... if they are in the scale location. ;)

Other than a small piece of plywood to mount the motor at the rear, the entire model is built from 3/16" sheet balsa.

Also no plans; I'm working form small drawings I printed off the internet.

Now for some sanding.

Weight so far: 348 grams (12.2 ounces).

Projected finished weight approx. 800 grams or about 28 ounces, including a battery.

Finished in 6 days, and just in time!

The balsa wood for my next project arrived about an hour ago! (It only took the post office 3 weeks+ to deliver it.)

Anyway, this model is a 'fun-scale' Avro Arrow.

It is balanced (I hope), and weighs 804 grams / 28.3 ounces with battery.

It's beautiful Michael. A true work of art.
