Hi guys,

I wanted to let you know about an email and an app that I got in my mailbox (redirected from [email protected] as I'm the web site contact), earlier this week from Brainworx Inc and their app aeromura which is available on the https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brainworx.aeromura  and the https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1526771501

Here's a link to the YouTube Video https://youtu.be/Ucm_QDLtYcs about the App.

Please take a few minutes to read through their vision under About https://brainworxaero.org/about/...

The app comes with the Pro Version and a 10 Day Free Trial. Their CTO, Barry Theunissen has offered to give us the Trial for Canadians for May and June 2021 as well, as I mentioned that there is very little flying when it's winter here.

We had Barry join the TEMAC Morning Crew Weekly Zoom Meeting and he was able to demonstrate the capabilities of the app to 16 participants (15 plus Barry). He's is also prepared to do this for any of you folks, if there is any interest.

I will say this, I did install the app and found it to be very good as far as providing the information for the field/s of interest. I'm happy to be the liaison for your as needs be. Sometimes we luck into something worthwhile in Aeromodelling – this is one 😊

Cheers,

Athol

I actually tried it yesterday and it looks promising. I did leave some feedback that the map location for TEMAC seems to be wrong (or it was yesterday, not sure if it's fixed?)

Hi Simon,

Yes, I sent a note to Barry too at 2.00pm yesterday:
"I was looking at the field location for TEMAC and it appears to be in the wrong place?

Actual Google Maps location is:
43.953318, -79.320979
43.953318, -79.320979
43.95339708280428, -79.32096828908305

Is there a way of updating/editing the GPS location?"

I'm waiting for a reply and will update you.

Cheers

Hi Gentlemen,

Thank you for inviting me onto this forum - should you have any questions please feel free to ask by sending me an email at : barry.theunissen(at)brainworxaero.net

You can also provide feedback, critique, suggestions and feature requests from with the app's "Feedback" feature, or you can use our feedback system here : https://aeromura.nolt.io/

In terms of TEMAC address or GPS location being wrong, feel free to access the location from within the app and edit it (pencil icon top right corner).

Move to the Map tab and simply drop a new pin more accurately on the map as to TEMAC's more accurate location.

Then save with the tick box icon - everybody is instantly updated.

You can also enter the physical address for the location while editing it.

Please email Athol or myself with your email address you signed up with on the app - we have offered to give all Canadian pilots a free premium subscription valid until the end of June 2021 so they can get a decent chance to really use the app during the flying season in Canada.

Kind regards,
Barry

@sihinch and @barryt - I have updated the location of the TEMAC Flying Field and it now shows the exact location.

representative for North America and Canada should you wish to take up this offer - send him a note from the email address you signed up with on the app to:

athol.cohen(at)atholcohen.com

Or reach him through a PM message on this forum.

Enjoy and safe flying everybody!

Regards,
