Let's back up a bit here... during the skills day fun fly Grace came to me and told me "Dad i really want to learn how to fly." As you can see from the attached photos she (and i) had a blast and she was hooked.
So i started looking for a plane we could build/fly together and later on use at the skills day (ten second powered glider competition). So when the red eagle build class was announced we jumped in!
so lets jump ahead .. Grace and i can't make tomorrow class to we got to work on the tail section of the red eagle. Having already cut the parts out last weekend it went together pretty quick.
That's great!
It'll be so much fun flying them all together next summer!
Awesome progress. Well done Guys. And fab to see "together" building.
That has to be such a wonderful and special feeling.
AWESOME!
Jack.
Thanks guys... Yep it's cool watching the wheels turns as she figures out how it goes together ;)
BTW we also finished up the stabilizer
Great class last night!... Grace and i lost a bit of time since i forgot the tail section at home. Luckily i don't live too far away and picked it. here is a few shots of Grace working to get us back on track
It's a good thing ONE of you knew what she was doing!
thanks again for the class last night!
Grace was back at it cutting the planking for the top part of the fuselage
I attended for some Morphine help and it was a great class. Grace certainly does all the work on their glider! Greg is just there for his looks.
And the red eagle also looks a bit like an overgrown morphine! Certainly the fuse.
By the way Greg - I think I left my cutting mat with you. Can you bring it Wed please?
no problem... see you Wednesday ;D
Nice catch Simon!
Jack.
Houston we have a hatch :)
We'll start rounding the nose (once we have a spinner) other than that bring on the wing
Greg
one wing down ... one to go :)
Lookin'. Great guys! Keep up the good work!
another great great build class lastnight!! Grace and i got some work done on the wing and had some fun :)
Greg
Thank you and Grace for your participation. It was great fun to hear Grace sing Happy Birthday to Michael. All the participation by the club is so gratifying.
Thank you.
Jack.
Yep! Good times again. Having you and Grace there make it that way ;D
Oh and Simon's singing and dancing was "special"

Looking great Greg.... Are your kids involved in the covering process or is it being left up to you? A great family project regardless!
