Am building this after I was given an offer I could not refuse.  The model is un-built (NIB).  The power unit is the E-Flite fan and the 15 inrunner 3600 kv.
Anything to be aware of when I build it such as strengthening, wheel size, 3 or 4 cell, etc. ?
All advice and insults gratefully accepted.

With that kV in a 69mm EDF plus the weight of the aircraft, I would say 4S is essential.

Simon,

Interesting comment.  The instructions say it can be flown on 3S (sport) or 4S for more vertical performance.  4S produces double the watts over 3S (644 vs 305).  I will build it for 4S.
Remember: "you can always throttle back...if you have to".  It is difficult to fly any airplane with marginal power (my definition versus yours :D  )

Thanks for the advice.

If this is the same DF unit as in the Habu, then 4s is correct.

With EDFs, I find a 300 watt power input will not give anywhere like the same performance as it would with a prop plane.

Funny that 300 watts/lb is a starting point.  EdEdge probably considers 300 watts a rounding error. ;D
