General Discussion / Re: Milton Oakville Swap meet ...

OBSERVATIONS: Interesting.
- half the size of last year...if that is possible.
- most stuff for sale was the nice attitude:  "If it sits in my basement it is worth nothing.  If I sell it for $5.00 I have money for 3 coffees next week".
- half the tables were priced "anything more than zero gets it out of my house".  Normally only 1/4 of the tables have this attitude.
- Old but flyable IC motors were not selling at $5.00! (OS FP40 with muffler).  Most of us started with that $100 motor on our first trainers 30 plus years ago.

Went and left happy with $300 retail new stuff for $25.00
- 4 new Graupner nylon power props (10" diameter)- $2.00 total!
- 4 sealed rolls of covering- $10...total!
- brand new Castle Creations 45 amp ESC, never used but no package- $5.00  (retail; $85 plus tax)
- Phasor inrunner BL motor in good shape 350 watts- $5.00- retail was over $80 when it came out.

Building / Construction / Re: Trainer 40
Last post by GuyOReilly - Today at 10:10:27 AM
Section A, steps 1 through 9 completed, the tail section is ready for covering.
The wing construction starts soon, but first I need to enlarge the holes in the ribs to fit servo leads and extensions.
@Michael I agree that a 25 or 30 size motor might be adequate on 3 cells.

I am going to have to agree with you, David. I've had the same issue with other airplanes at the quick connect points. It's wise during maintenance to check and do a quick wiggle if you suspect there is an issue. Sorry about the loss of the airplane, but great explanation and research.
