Title: Runway condition
Post by: Canuke on June 21, 2020, 11:51:24 AM
Taildraggers (not sure about tricycle planes) shouldn't taxi on the runway currently. I pulled off my rudder twice this morning on landing. The tail wheel drops into a hole in the cover and stops immediately pulling the rudder hinges apart. I would suggest landing etc. on the grass.

I've been taking off and landing from/on the grass lately, and it's pretty smooth.

We intend to change the runway for a new one as soon as possible (end of Covid-19 or next spring).

Yesterday Bruce and David patched about 20 holes.  Slowly but surely.

We will do some again tomorrow.
