Folks, I'm about to buy my first ply / balsa plane.  ;D

Here are my options.

Do you guys know if they are the same plane (just rebranded)?

For the nitroplanes one, can you guys please suggest the electronics form Nitroplanes website?

This is what I have so far...

5-CH CMP DHC Beaver 1800mm Fiberglass RC Airplane Kit

Hobbypartz 3 Axis Gyro for Aircraft Flight Stabilizer

Dynam 11*7*3 3 blades prop

Tacon Big Foot 32 Brushless Out Runner Motor for Airplane (770KV)

HobbyWing C-Platinum-60A-V1 Brushless ESC for 450/500 RC Heli and Mid-Size Aircraft

Hitec Servo extention lead 900mm (5 pcs)

Still need servos (6) and battery....

Since nitroplanes doesn't ship large boxes to Canada, I'll ship it to the border, then I will drive and pick it up.

Be careful... it's always too close, no matter how far...

I haven't clicked the links but I do know that HobbyKing sells CMP products.

Again, just taking a quick glance but your prop looks small.

Also, when you buy from Nitroplanes, shipping in from US, you will get charged duty and fees. So if you decide to do one of these 2 planes, the shipping and fees from Nitroplanes will be more.

Why not consider the E-Flite Beaver 25e and buy locally?

frajolex

There's no duty on hobby parts at all... they might charge you HST... but if you ship to the border, the chances are you won't pay anything... all you have to do is to drive across the border and pick up your package @ ups...

The e-flite beaver was in my list, but honestly, $220 ARF is a bit too much... I can get the whole package above shipping included for $290.00

To setup the e-flite beaver I will spend at least $150 bucks morem buying the parts here.

You already have a Beaver.

Do you really want another one?

Yeah Michael, honestly, this is the plane I most like... and the flyzone one is being used on floats... so I want to use this one on wheels :)

If that's what you like, then go for it!  ;D

Michael, suggestions for the servos?

I'm not familiar with those.

I usually buy brand name radio parts from local hobby stores.
