"When Britain Ruled the Skies"
« on: April 29, 2018, 04:46:57 PM »
“When Britain Ruled The Skies”.  You’ll have to excuse the BBC’s ‘Best of British’ tone but underlying the propaganda like presentation, is an accurate record and overview of an amazingly ingenious and exciting period in British Aviation.

‘Cocked up’ in true British tradition by bad management, poor market predictions, extremely limiting airline specifications and only loose change in the purse of a nation crippled by war and in hock to the Yanks forever, it was still an amazing period technically.

Nice programme.  Well put together and well presented by several, serious aviation authors and commentators.

I actually saw this series a few years ago. It’s brilliant! Thanks for brining it to the masses Roger.
