Frank v B

Got a call from John's Hobbies to take any RC Plane stuff out of a neighbouring basement store room they had to vacate by month's end.

Most of the stuff was thrown away like a poorly built* Top Flite .60 Warhawk half-built, Top Flite .60 Bearcat half-built, two broken fuses, two non matching wings, two other part kits.  The yellow box (photo) was on the bottom.  There is a mouse in Toronto that loves model airplanes.

Interesting things found in the boxes
- about $50's worth of sheet balsa
- a reasonably well-built .60 size Top Flite Warhawk (finished but damaged).
- 3 IC engines- a 1945 Super Hurricane .24 IC engine, a vintage OS PET RC .099 engine from the late '50's and an unidentified .061 Japanese car engine.
- odds and ends like flex push rods, canopies, wheels, etc.

Some stuff will show up in the Trading Post section.

It was a trip down memory lane.

* the wing was joined but the center spar was never installed and there were no plywood dihedral joint doublers.  Most joints were poorly glued, etc.  Even my strongly built airplanes have a hard time surviving my flying ability.  These planes would have disintegrated un-assisted. ;D
