Challenge #1
Some of the lite ply was quite badly warped, This is a wing tip.
Windex and weights got most, but not, all of the bend out.

As I've pointed out in other OSMW builds, the reasons I like these kits are, the laser cutting is excellent, the manual is detailed, and there are hi-res pics of many of the steps posted on-line

Overall this was a relatively straightforward build, but there were some challenges that I will point out.
1 - It's enjoyable to see a stack of balsa and ply get smaller as the project progresses.
2&3 - The wings have metal straps that the wing struts will attach to. The alignment was dead on

The Plantprint EVO flew beautifully today.  The take-off was easy and the EVO just lifted off the ground.  I was thinking... this is a Planeprint plane take-off... and then Michael said... "just like a Planeprint plane... too funny.  Flight was excellent and landing was easy.

Now... onto printing it's Floats and Skis for the winter.

7.1 million views as of today.

ps: If everyone watched the full 21 minute video it would have taken 59,167 man-weeks of productivity out of this world. I now feel guilty as an accomplice and enabler....but proud of the TEMAC accomplishment.  :-)

Patching the wing:

-82- balsa patch on the top of the wing.
-83- balsa patch on the bottom of the wing
-84- one leading edge on a rib was crushed.  Drew the outline of the rib with a pencil on a piece of balsa.
-85- the outline on the new leading edge.
-88- new leading edge clamped onto the crushed rib.

Next step- covering.
