Of course, I was all excited by the wind warnings that were in place for Southern Ontario for today, Friday, September 5. It was supposed to be gusting to 70 to 90 km/h out of the southwest between 11 AM and 11 PM so I figured that would give me lots of opportunity to improve on my personal best for flying in ridiculous winds. Well, the weather deities, and probably @Frank v B , conspired to deprive me of this little bit of pleasure. All I could squeeze out of the wind sock this afternoon was a paltry 32 km/h. The silver lining was the variability of the winds, which were oscillating between Southwest and Northwest, all within a minute or two. That made for exciting takeoffs and landings with lots of delicious crosswind. All in all, a great day. I highly recommend that you try this out!!
