The Sig Clipped Wing Cub kit is a great kit to build with lots of 1/4" balsa stick work (which is very satisfying and not that difficult). It would be the same as my Cub but you could finish yours better than I did mine. Mine is the full span. The clipped version is identical to mine but with a couple rib bays trimmed from the span.
I think Glenn still has a kit for the clipped version too.
You'd be able to build it to be SO light, and quite scale as well. Oh, and it would make a great float plane ;D

just saw this... i can't make it out tonight. The little one is playing her soccer game tonight since Monday was a holiday.
