Paul Gray, Mark Satin, Rob Dickinson and I are scheming to be at the field tomorrow (Wednesday) from 1-3 pm.
Come join us if you need an excuse to get outside.
Everything will be a game-time decision based on work and weather....but we will try our best.

Yes, it is February, but it should be above zero and that orange ball may come out to light up our day.

I Will be there after I run an errand.
I will bring the Elder 40 for a flight.

Hi Frank,

I have a new [to me] plane I'd like you to look at, but I can't be there until about 2:30.  I hope I might be able to catch up with you while you're still there.

Weather was nice today; actually superb for a February day. Very low winds, mild temperature, and a partly cloudy sky brought out 10 or 12 pilots today. Here are a few images:

1. Glenn's Cherokee had several great scale-like fights.

2. David's Twin Otter.

3. Frank's model; not sure of the name.

4. Mark with his twin-motor sport plane.

5. Guy with his scratch-built Elder, after it's 4th flight.

6. Rob flew his Bronco, and it looked fantastic in the air!

7. Paul preparing for his first ever maiden of a model. It landed safely!

8. ... and that's me with my Northstar.

Great visit to the field.

Photo report:
78- Paul Gray trying to launch his airplane
79- Paul's plane flying.  Paul actually depressed the earth to get the plane out of his hands.
81- Rob and his re-built OV 10 Bronco
84- Good to see Jan at the field.
85- Rob- I asked him to look confused.  He followed instructions perfectly.
89- Mark and Michael
92- Michael and his new Northstar-  Half an acre of wing area.  Michael proving to us how far a gallon of yellow paint will stretch.  Plane number 6-ish out of the same gallon. :-)
95- Paul G. with a plane that followed him home from a hobby shop.
98- A Temac elder with a Top Flite  Elder.
01- Paul S. with the Wilga before its maiden flight.
03- Rob answering my question "How do you land this plane?
04- Glenn and his Cherokee after several perfect landings.

Frank

ps: Michael- my plane in your photos was the E-Flite Taylorcraft 450.  On 3S 1300.  Wonderfull plane- Balsa does fly better...even in my hands.  :-)

Great day, I was quite happy to see everyone.
Elder 40 ready for another flight, the L/G was solidified with epoxy and additional bracing.
Sure is nice to have freedom of time to do that repair quickly.
