A customer gave me a new in box, factory sealed 7 1/4" 10 amp SKIL circular saw.  MODEL 5150

It is offered as an on-line auction with all the proceeds to buy a Tim card of equal value as a prize for Bruce's Canada Day Cub event.

- starting price is $1.00
- increments in whole dollars (min $1.00)
- Anyone can bid on it.  Temac members and friends of TEMAC just in case Cory Paine needs one to finish his home renovation. ;D

The last offer registered on this post with a time stamp less than 8 pm* this Saturday, May 23 is the new owner.  Cash only. Pick up at my house (Yonge and St.Clair) or Rogo Field by appointment.

Frank

* latest valid time stamp is 7:59:59 pm. Saturday.

Thanks Greg.  So your loan was approved. ;D ;D

Temac members please note:
- this saw will sell for whatever price is offered before the deadline.  There is no minimum.
- I will not be bidding on it personally. I sometimes do this when auction prices are ridiculously low and donate my money to whatever cause.
- If no-one else bids on this, Greg will have a brand new saw for $2.00.  If you don't think Greg deserves it, then please enter a higher bid. ;) ;)

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but as per the current rules, there will be no official organized activities (Canada Day Cub Day).

If members come to the field with similar models, and fly responsibly (with social distancing), then that's fine.

We cannot have prizes handed to anyone.

We'll have to figure out how to do things carefully.

re: Michael's comment

Absolutely.  The prize will be for Cub day if it is cleared to roll or will be kept for the first legal TEMAC event when conditions are lifted.... even if it is the first event in 2025... heaven forbid.
Michael's call on the "when".  No problem.

Decision from the three judges (Curly, Larry and Moe ;))

The winning bid is from Carlos (Palkina) at $25.00.  His bid was the last before the deadline of 8 pm Saturday.

Quoting from my opening post "The last offer registered on this post with a time stamp less than 8 pm* this Saturday, May 23 is the new owner. ".

Thank you Greg for your generous offer.  I will send you an e-mail on another thing this customer gave me but that I did not want to sell because it was used. It is yours if you want it.
Please don't tell Sophia that you were going to build her a castle but Frank.......... ;)

Thank you for participating.

Frank

ps: People have asked me why I auction stuff off this way.  Very simple. i)  It gives working stiffs who do not have a smart phone (me) an equal chance at bidding on something. ii) I end it Saturdays because that has the highest probability of being personal time iii) It is passive for me just in case I get an emergency call. I often do... (and did)  iv) It gives participants a chance to research the item  v) Check their wallets or in Andy's case, beg Mita for permission and vi) it forces participants to check the Forum.
Fair?.... absolutely   Simple?... yes.   Devious?  no comment.
