Done this several times without problems, but this time, can't get past the Flap System INHIBIT setting. Any of you DX8ers know what I'm missing?
Wing Type is set to normal
Go to FUNCTION LIST, FLAP SYSTEM which is set to INHIBIT. Try to roller onto INHIBIT to access menu and can't.

Is there not a sub menu on wing type?  There is a wing type for with flap and without. Check the wing types first.

You have to set up the wing configuration correctly first, to say the airplane has ailerons and flaps.

Then you can un-inhibit the flap switch

Fixed. Thanks...forgot to choose wing type to include flaps.  :-\ ::)
The DX8 software update I did last fall fooled me. The update reset the wing type to NORMAL on all existing models. When I checked the wing type on my existing Mustang, Citation and Hurricane models(my flapped models), wing type showed as NORMAL.
Ergo I left the wing type for the new flapped model at NORMAL.
The DX8 warned me to check settings after the update but this was the first time I'd encountered a setting change attributable to the update.
I have reset the wing types and flap setup for my existing models.
I posted my question on RC Groups and Andy Kunz from Spektrum replied as quickly as Simon and Greg...impressive support all round! Thanks! :D
