Yes, even though Wednesday is only 45 minutes away, I will be at Rogo Field by 5 pm Wednesday.
Anybody can fly but students have priority.

Photos of Sunday's BlusterFest.

53- Paul and his glider after retrieving it.  A wild ride.
54- Michael after his flight- sans battery hatch. (lost south of the cut grass.)
56- David and his Timber
60- Rogo Field crop harvest stuck in the wing of my Aresti 40.

A nice day..somewhere else in the world. ;)   The day at Rogo was better than a day at work.  A good visit.

General Discussion / Flying Sunday June 1, 1 pm.
Last post by Frank v B - June 01, 2025, 08:30:31 PM
Went to the field at 12:20.  Windy, raining, a 2 out of 10.  Then Michael showed up and within 15 minutes the clouds parted, the rain stopped, the sun came out...but the wind stayed. A 6 out of 10. Very gusty, very swirly (yes, it is a word).  Then Paul Scuse and David arrived.

Executive summary: Nicely nasty.

- Flew my Boxfly 20.  Flew fine
- Flew Paul's 100" Windfree- a handful but got it back near civilization.  Scary flight- It was a bucking bronco.  If I reduced power it would be blown downwind.  If I powered up it would do a 50' Sine curve hoping it would not become a tangent.  At any point I feared the wings would break off.  The wingtips did not clap.  Phew.
- flew my Aresti 40 (Power 46 on 5 cells) - it went squirrily and ditched it reluctantly.  Fuse broke in two.  Thanks to Paul for helping me with the walk of shame...or as modellers call it "planting balsa".
- Michael and David flew their Widgeons, Timber, etc.

Well, that was an adventure:  It started to rain at about 3:30.
Paul Gray was at the field and said a new member Kirk showed up...from Lindsay.
Mark and I arrived at 5 pm, introduced ourselves and decided to trim his plane- a HobbyZone Cub with a brushless motor.  Took off and flew fine, trimmed it out...in the rain.
Why not.

35 - if a picture is worth a thousand words, Paul and Mark are expressing a thousand words.  "this is stupid, this is dumb, this is friggin crazy, etc.".
38- Kirk retrieved his plane after the flight.
