Title: This Jigs Up
Post by: octagon on May 14, 2016, 05:53:49 PM
Hey Guys,
I picked up one of these and I cannot say how well it works. I used to race slot cars and we were constantly changing motor, so I know how to solder, but you would not believe how well this little thing works. You know that time when you have one hand to hold the soldering iron, and one hand to hold the wire you are trying to solder and one hand to hold the solder, and suddenly you are one had short? This thing makes it so easy to solder connectors and leads, and I think more importantly, allows you to concentrate on not making a poor solder joint, which of course, leads to crashes (ask me how I know). Anyway, best $30 I have spent in this hobby.

I bought it at Fields in Buffalo, when my wife was shopping for shoes for our daughter's wedding, because apparently, there is a shortage of shoe stores in Canada. ( Happy wife, happy life). Saying that,  there is a website http://thejigsup.net/ and I think you can order it from there.
