How to fix a broken Apprentice stab... in 5 minutes.

Ethan's plane needed a nose wheel repair.  Noticed that the stab was broken in half at the fuselage (both sides). Photo 05

Step 1- take a piece of carbon rod and sharpen one end.  I used sandpaper.  Photo 07
Step 2- poke it through the fuselage about 3/4" in front of the hinge line. Photo 08
step 3- measure the length of the carbon spar and cut it.  I used a triangle file, then broke it, then sanded it smooth and to a point (per step 1).
step 4- clamp the rod at both ends so it holds the stab flat. Photo 09.
step 5- attach a heavy duty tape to hold the carbon rod in place.  Place 5 minute epoxy where the rod goes through the fuselage sides.  Set aside.  Photo 10.
