Had to fix a broken door top hinge point on a corner shower.  Guests are coming in two days
Hunted around my shop.  You can identify the parts:
- the aluminum angle is from the Skywriter project to attach the wing cabane struts.  Michael can take the credit.
- the nylon hinge housing is from the Du-Bro nose gear assembly.
- the hinge pin is a Dubro landing gear axle.
- the grey coloured paste is 5 minute epoxy paste.  It acts as a filler/shim/cap.  Can't do a project without some 5 minute stuff!

photo 1- the parts
photo 2- the assembly viewed from the top
photo 3- side view.  The door is not in place yet.

Done!

Sounds to me like the perfect justification for more planes  ;D

Perfect example as to why I do not throw away small pieces; you never know when you are going to need them.
I am not a horder, simply preserving parts for future undetermined use.
Great repair @Frank v B .
