Title: Brian Taylor
Post by: octagon on April 02, 2019, 09:55:33 AM
Hi Guys. I have become interested in Brian Taylor the rc aircraft designer. I can't seem to find any information about the guy. His reputation for designing scale, nice flying models is well known, but little else seems to be out there. Is he still alive? When was he actively drawing plans? Was he really so precise that he says things like "block up the dihedral when joining the wings buy putting a block 3 17/32nds under rib 6". Really? 3 17/32nds? Why not 3 1/2? I wonder if it was just kind of a joke.
Anyway if anyone knows about the guy it would be interesting to hear.
Rob

I don't know any more than you do about Brian Taylor...

But I bet the 3 17/32" is a conversion from 90mm.

LOL, well that is one Brian Taylor anyway. I have read that because so many of his plans  are counterfeited and then sold on Ebay by people who are not authorized to sell them, that he has stopped publishing any of his plans.
