Frank v B

Looking to start training this Wednesday at Rogo field.
If you are new or looking to start training, please come to the field and we will get you going.
I will be there regardless of the weather.  Last year there was only one wash-out so all trips were worth it.

Any Temac member can fly on training day but students have priority.
Come on out and fly up a storm.  happy to help with test flights, trim flights.

The forecast for tomorrow went from beautiful to somewhat "iffY".
We will be there, but students are asked to please contact either Frank or myself, should you decide not come out.
If you need my personal contact info, let me know.

Thanks

Mark S.

Cold but not too windy at 3pm.  The wind picked up by 5 but was essentially straight from the north.  First cut of the field today... and it's beautiful.

Image 6485 is the current 2026 Brain Trust hard at work.  Mark is happy to be deep in the bowels of Spektrum again.  Paul is too cold to know he's at the field, and Kirk swears it was working at home.

Thanks to Frank in 6488 because once he started flying the sun came out.

Image 6489 has Mark explaining to Simon (3) how to fly by saying "Just do what they're doing."  Simon did and now has flying privileges.  Welcome Simon.

Well, some days in January felt warmer.

Student Kirk showed up for some flying.  Went through 3 batteries and did a perfectly sift landing but the motor mount thought differently.  It broke the motor mount.

Simon, a new member came for his check-out flight.  Mark handled the duties.  Welcome Simon.

Paul Scuse dropped by to re-try his 3D printed warm-liner.  It flew fine this time.  He added nose weight and a new motor mount.

BJ showed up just to say "Hello".  He showed off his new car and his new body.  Looks like he got over his pump and plumbing (heart) issues that bothered him for the last two years. He looked great and no longer in pain.

Also present were David and Amir.

Thanks to Mark and Paul for setting up Kirk's plane.

Photo report:
49- BJ dropped by the field for 5 minutes.  Good to see him.
53- Mark talking to new member Simon.

Temac members appeared to try out for movie parts:
50- David was trying out for the lead in the movie "Race to the North Pole".  This was his attempt at trying to look like Robert Peary (black and white photo)
51- Kirk also tried out for the Peary part but David was a shoe-in. Kirk is trying for the Amundsen role in the next movie.
54- Paul nailed the lead in "The Smurfs learn to fly model airplanes".

Just kidding guys.  At least it did not rain.
