Title: need prop for nooner
Post by: thehaze on July 06, 2013, 02:55:47 PM
So today gregs nooner destroyed my last prop. And I can't get one before tomorrow's race. Anyone have a spare in the 4.1x4.1 range I can borrow to get me in the air? :'(

My question here is how did Greg's Nooner break your prop?  This sounds bad...

If I didn't know better I'd say that was sabotage!

Ummmmm....  did you manage to land after getting rear ended?

If we knew the rpm we could figure the closure rate as you can SEE the prop going forward into the tail of the plane!

This is just a scare tactic on Mikes part to get us to stay behind him.  I on the other hand will be trying to stay further out in front of him!

My plane was fine. Even finished the 10 laps around the course. The prop got a crack in it and broke afterwards.

You've all been warned... I take no prisoners.  ;)

Mike is flying a nice tight course, right on the pylon poles, beware he is going to be hard to beat!!!

That will teach to fly fast or get out of the way. I think Ken is going to have to get a "move over" flag like they have in motor racing. Mind you if you can't see a model aimed at your ass what chance do you have of seeing a blue flag!!!

LOL

Jack.

Gee, all Greg did was take one nasty photo of Mike chowing down a hot dog!  Serious retribution!! I think I'll do my laps after Mike has finished his and landed.  Last place costs less!! :)

How did the Nooner handle the larger 3pylon course?   Was there measured time to comparison against the EF1 planes?
Disappointed I could not make it out Saturday had to work then sundays races are canceled... bummer

The Nooners handled the E F1 course just fine [375'long, 100'wide], they are a little slower than the F 1's.
A great little flyer and a fun airplane, would be fast if you get it low and tight on the course. I think a 300' x100' would be a good size course or a 375' two pole.

After flying both I'd say that the nooner was about 10-15mph slower than the ef1 planes.  It took me a few flights to get used to flying around myself and having to move to track the plane but overall the nooner was no slouch and it was able to fly a reasonably tight track around the turns.  It would be fun to have three pylon racing at Temac if we had the space.
