Successful maiden and second flights today. Thanks to Glenn and David for their help. Both flights had good landings.

The photo was taken after the flights.

General Discussion / Flying at TEMAC, April 30, 202...
Last post by Michael - Today at 07:49:54 PM
A rainy wet and cloudy day turned into a warm, clear sky and low wind day at TEMAC.

I joined Glenn, Kenny and David for a few nice flights.

The Mustang is Glenn's; the A10 and the SE5A biplane are mine; the Phantom, the Spitfire and the Sirius jet are Kenny's; and the Viper jet is David's.

You can see Kenny's Phantom in the upper left hand corner in the image of David's Viper. The built-up Top Flite SE5a and the FMS Spitfire both had successful maiden flights.

Flight Instruction / 2024 training starts next week...
Last post by Frank v B - Today at 06:10:16 PM
Next week Wednesday, May 8 will be our first training day at Rogo Field.
- if you are a new member and wish to learn how to fly we will be happy to instruct you
- if you are a new member who has soloed and needs a check flight.
- if you have a new plane and are new to the hobby, we will be happy to check it out and do a trim flight for you.

I will be there no matter the weather.  If it is pouring I will head to Tim's at Woodbine and Stouffville Road.

Here is hoping some of the dependable helpers can come out like Mark, Paul, Peter, Philip
Vadim, Oscar, etc.

General Discussion / How would you like this EDF mo...
Last post by Frank v B - Yesterday at 07:20:35 PM
Someone wanted my advice on how to dispose of some abandoned RC stuff.

Hard not to laugh (inside) when I was shown this 14 S EDF motor and fan.  195mm diameter.  It produces 25 KG of thrust and retails for over $4,000.  There were two of these.  It needs 20,000 mah batteries that weigh more than my entire RC fleet of 40 plus planes.  ;D

David will have a 3D printed plane for it next week. ;)
I love my job.  No idea what tomorrow brings as this proves.

Very good structure on this OV10.  There's a cross-brace in the fuselage and the front landing gear is supported by 2 6mm CF tubes crossing over sections.
