She is a stunner.  This was a fun print and a fun build... lots of innovation and clever design.  4S RacerStar 3536 950Kv motor, Aerostar 40A ESC, 10x6 Prop, colorFabb Red, 3DLabPrint Green, and a 3-Axis Gyro.  Weight without battery is 1,200g.  With a 4S 2200 she's 1,433g.

2 6mm CF Tubes run through the fuselage into the wings.  The wings are held on with a printed, flexible, rubber Wingbelt.  A cylinder is glued into the wing, the Wingbelt is slid into the wing, and a screw secures the Wingbelt.  The Wingbelt is fed through the fuselage and latches into Wingbelt holders.

Thanks Mark and Guy.

There should be no problem telling top from bottom.  I use the fin/rudder as a pointer.  Also, this plane has quite a bit of dihedral.  I am not worried.

Installing fin/rudder.

I use a plastic triangle with the corner cut off.  The cut-off is so that the corner will not get stuck in the setting glue that oozes out.  Also, the open corner will fit around any tri stock or fairing used on some planes.

Pilot- must have one. Scavenged from a downed foamie.  His name...."Otto Pilot"*.

Stripes should be quite visible.
Only one question remains: TOP vs. BOTTOM?!?
How will you tell if it is upside down?
Looks great.

Each wing is supported with 2 6mm CF tubes.  On occassion Rene requires these to be glued in place.  To facilitate this he builds in a channel into which you drip thin CA.  This ensures the full length of the CF tube is glued.  The 2 lengths at the end of the wing are for the Winglets.  The Winglets curve down attaching to the Vertical Stabilizer.

The Winglet is glued to the VS but is not glued to the wing.  Instead, it's a tight fit with the 2 6mm CF tubes, and secured in place with 2 2mm self-tapping screws.  The screws don't go into the CF, but instead screw along the side of the tube... just grazing the tube... creating a bit of pressure to keep it in place.

There's an oval hole through the Winglet that matches a servo channel in the wing... but it is not mentioned in the manual... so I asked Rene.  It's for a rudder servo just in case he adds one at some point.  Very cool... very modular.

The last image is of a magnet setting tool that was included with the Fouga Cyclone.  Brilliant.  I made them a bit smaller to fit the 8mm magnets I had on hand.  The 8mm magnets get glued into the tool.  The "Y" uses 5mm x 5mm square magnets and trying to figure out how, who, what, up, down, goes where always makes my head hurt.  And the magnets are never flush.  There are 10,000 tricks for getting this right.  This tool solves my problems.  Work on the canopy with one part of this tool, work on the fusleage with the other part.  Magnets are flush and oriented in the correct polarity.

Very elegant structure.  This could sell a lot of 3D printers!!

Good detail photos.

General Discussion / Re: Battery charging question ...

One other factor I forgot to mention: battery capacity lower than rated.  For example, your 2200mAh (one or two year old) battery is only supplying 2000mAh. Personally, if the battery's internal resistance is still good, I'd still fly with it.

After a flight your battery capacity meter indicates 50% remaining capacity (you waited at least an hour before taking the reading).  You charge it up and your charger says it added 1000mAh of charge, not the 1100mAh that you expected. The 100mAh discrepancy is solely related to the lower battery capacity.
