Hi folks:
I just listened to this superb reading on cbc.ca. It was broadcast this evening on "As It Happens".
"Fireside Al" Maitland reads Frederick Forsyth's "The Shepherd"

Just try and keep your heart from pounding as you listen. Enjoy!
Wishing all who celebrate Christmas a wonderful one and a sweet new year.
Cheers!

I couldn't agree more. Sometimes your imagination paints the best visuals. It's so nice to immerse oneself in a well-read story without the distraction of a video.

Hi
@Richard_RC_Guy ,
I agree. I did the next best thing and listened to it through my computer speakers in a perfectly quiet room. It was nice to be able to repeat segments if I missed a few words.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Cheers!
Andy
Thanks Andy...
Takes me back to the fireside in a darkened living room on a winter's evening with my family, listening to the BBC Wednesday Night Play on the wireless. It's all in your head. Wonderful pictures, limited only by ones imagination. Beats CGI hands down.
