Just a thought - do you think there would be a disadvantage to building a Piker racer in low-wing configuration?
If I mount the servos on the top of the wing I thought it would allow me to have a battery hatch and also minimse wing mount damage on landing (if you snag a wing tip.)
I don't see why it would be a problem other than making it harder to hand launch. I like your way of thinking... a different approach...

I am totally in favour of any mod that will make my launch photos more exciting!!! ;D
