The design process, constraints and solutions are absolutely incredible. Not only are the scientists/engineers on this project scary smart, they are articulate and engaging communicators. What a pleasure!

Aside from what you rightly call the "scary smarts" what I find amazing is that on the close-ups you see all the little screws, mountings, etc.
All it would take is one of the little screws to sheer off, and the whole endeavour is trashed.
And I thought flying my Timber with it's busted up landing gear was scary :)
That'll definitely be a cool test flight. The part that gets me is how thin the Martian atmosphere is. Must have been hard to design rotors that would work there.
